Why a Blog? About Longevity, Knowledge, and the Method The Better Plate

Hello! I’m very happy you stopped by this page. If we haven’t met personally — my name is Anna Bertoldi, I am the founder of the project Better With Anna.
Today I want to speak openly with you about why I wanted my homepage to be more than just a “business card” with a list of services. Why it has become important to me right now to run this blog and to share my thoughts, research, and lifestyle with all of you.
In short: I began to feel “too confined” staying only in closed courses and personal consultations. I have the sense that it’s time to scale the benefit. 🕊️
From closed groups to an open dialogue
In recent years my work has focused on engaging deeply with the stories of my clients. We walked the path together — through express consultations, support. And yes — we were together for the FMD marathon: with daily guidance, shared discoveries, and that special feeling of not being alone on the journey. I love this process. Watching someone’s eyes light up when constant fatigue disappears or digestion normalizes — that is the greatest reward.
But there was something that wouldn’t let go of me. The knowledge I share in paid offerings often remains in a “closed circle.” Yet the philosophy of longevity and healthy eating is not a matter of privilege. It is a foundation that should be accessible to anyone who wants to live a long, active, and happy life.
It became clear to me: My blog should become a place of strength for everyone. A place where I can convey my lifestyle, share practical tips, and explain the science of longevity in simple words.

The “longevity” mission: why this matters
When we talk about “longevity,” many think of old age. For me, however, this concept means the here and now.
— It’s about how you wake up in the morning (with energy or with the urge to hit snooze ten times?). — It’s about how your brain functions at 40, 60, or 80 years old. — It’s about the absence of chronic inflammation and a feeling of lightness in the body.
I want this blog to help you integrate healthy habits stress-free and without coercion. We will talk about how food affects our genes, how sleep controls hormones, and why social relationships are as important for health as broccoli.
My new project: The method “The Better Plate"
At the moment I’m working on something very special. I call it The Better Plate.
Many of you know the famous “Harvard Plate” for healthy eating. It is a great foundation, the gold standard of nutrition science. But through working with hundreds of cases I’ve understood that this is not enough for modern people. We must consider not only proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, but also the context of our lives, our habits and — most importantly — the experiences of those who have already learned to live long.
The Better Plate is my own method, which brings together:
- The scientific foundation from Harvard. We preserve the right nutrient ratios.
- The wisdom of the “Blue Zones.” I study intensively the diets and habits of people from regions with the highest concentrations of centenarians (Okinawa, Sardinia, Ikaria).
- Global know-how. I collect the best nutritional practices from around the world — from Scandinavian approaches to Asian fermentation secrets.
- The psychology of habits. So that healthy eating doesn’t remain a one-week diet, but becomes part of your DNA.

Why the Blue Zones are so important
Have you ever wondered why in some corners of the world people reach 100 years of age while remaining vital and socially active? The answer is not in miracle cures, but in what’s on their plates and how they approach life.
In my blog I will analyze these principles in depth. We will learn not only to “eat right,” but to eat for longevity. This is an exciting journey, and I want us to embark on it together.
Integration into the main site: Accessibility first
I deliberately decided to integrate the blog directly into the structure of the homepage. I didn’t want to hide this knowledge in remote areas of the website.
If you visit Better With Anna now, you’ll immediately see fresh articles, tips, and updates on the method The Better Plate. My goal is to make high-quality information about mindful eating accessible with just a few clicks.

What you’ll soon find here:
- Analyses of superfoods: what really works and what is marketing.
- Recipes based on The Better Plate system (tasty, quick, scientifically grounded).
- Insights on how to slow down aging processes through your plate.
- Shopping lists
- Personal stories and an honest look at a healthy lifestyle.
We move forward together — gently and with joy
I believe the path to health should not be one of suffering. Free yourself from guilt about food, learn to understand the signals of your body, and feel how your quality of life changes.
I remain in contact with my students through digital products and individual work, but now my voice will be heard more loudly here on the blog.
Who is this blog for? — For those who have lost track amid the contradictory advice on the internet. — For those who want to age beautifully and mindfully. — For those seeking support and proven knowledge.
Join our circle of like-minded people! Read, comment, put what you learn into practice. Remember: small steps every day lead to big changes over years.

Thank you for being with me. There’s a lot of exciting things ahead, and “The Better Plate” is almost ready to take its place on your table!
Yours, Anna Bertoldi _Founder of Better With Anna_
